K.N.O.C.K. (Know No Other Christ or King) - The Living Stone Youth Activities

KNOCK

These kids prove it: You can have safe, secure, and Godly fun!  At the same time, you can learn about the God who loves and saves us, the scriptures He inspired and gave us, and the ways we can live Godly lives in an ungodly world.  The Living Stone’s KNOCK program also joins with the Rossville Organization of Youth to experience the joy of the Lord with other youth, with the gospel message woven throughout all they do.  Read below to know more about The Rossville Organization of Youth!

Rossville Organization of Youth (ROY) Activities & Events

What started as a youth ministry of the Rossville United Methodist Church by Pastor Rick and his wife Cheryl has become a lesson in denominational unity. Cheryl feels called to bring the gospel message to the youth of the community. So, she began with the youth of her church and her giftedness and passion for youth ministry was evident as the youth group grew rapidly. Word quickly spread among friends and, a few years later, over 70 youth from 15 different congregations gather to learn more of Christ and His salvation message through games, field trips, camping, Christian concerts, bible lessons, and in other ways too numerous to list. This is another way the youth of The Living Stone can learn of the love of Jesus and grow in spiritual maturity with other youth in the community.

ROY

Pastors, youth leaders and volunteers combine forces to bring the gospel to the youth of the Rossville area.  The Living Stone is honored to participate in the unifying work of the Spirit!

ROY

The youth of the churches in the region are living and exciting examples of how denominational differences can be shed so that unity in Christ can be achieved!

There are many ways you can be a part of the community movement to reach the youth of Rossville.  Here are just a few:

  • The Living Stone has committed to providing 10 cases of pop per month.  You can bring a donation any time and leave it in the youth room.  Any type of pop is fine.

  • Pre-packaged snacks are always needed such as bags of chips, cookies, pop tarts, granola bars, fruit snacks, etc.  Please, NO food containing peanuts or peanut butter.

  • Volunteers are needed to help set up and serve the snacks.  Volunteers will be added to a rotation schedule and will help approximately once every three months.

  • Prayer partners are needed.  We ask that you commit to praying for this youth every day for a year.  We also encourage you to send a card occasionally, but this is not required.

  • Volunteer to lead a class-lessons are prepared for you in advance.  You can pick how often you would like to teach-once a month, twice a month, etc.

  • Encourage the youth of our church to participate in the Rossville Organization of Youth and its activities!

  • Pray for the youth of Rossville, the continued success of this group and for the leaders.
